Community Midwifery School King Abdullah Teaching Hospital Mansehra was established on 01.01.2008 with the support of UNFPA, CMW School is established to train Secondary School certificate qualified females of Rural Area of District Mansehra on antenatal, natal & postnatal care of poor population and to reduce the maternal mortality, a step to achieve millennium development goals. The training is for 18 months including practical training and filed visit.
In 2009 the CMW School was taken over by MNCH Program Govt. of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa. A state of art Skill Lab was developed by PRIDE Organization for the training of CMW students.
02 batched of CMW have already been qualified from the School and they have been placed in the rural area for providing services. The 1st batch of 20 students and 2nd batch of 35 students completed their training in June 2009 & January 2011 respectively and all have been qualified from Nursing Board Khyber Pukhtunkhwa. All the students of this School qualified their examine in A grade with distinction of getting 1st ten position in whole the Province in both batches.
